The graphic novel something alive is about a girl who was born in new Zealand but her grandfather
was Japanese and i think the setting is at a museum, she has a difficult time because she thinks that
she has to meet others expectations and she also thinks that she is less than everyone else, there is
a white rabbit in most of the pitchers so i think that is her spirit animal but she still loves her family and
in the fifth page it shows her and her grandmother on the beach looking at the moon over all it was a
good book.
And also i'm guessing one of her classmates asked her a question about japan that he knew she
didn't know so he's being a doughnut. I think she feels guilty about not knowing enough about her
culture in japan and that she is worried she won't met her grandmas expectations or anyone else's
questions for her because she feels like that she should know.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your summary of Something Alive and looking at your storyboard! Next time you could maybe use 6 grids rather than just 3 grids. But apart from that this was awesome! Do you like making storyboards and summarys?
